On April 29, inspectors of the Syrdarya water basin branch of the Department of Ecology of the Tashkent region conducted control measures on the right bank of the Syrdarya River. In one such case, the inspectors were attacked by poachers.

It turned out that during the raid in the area of the Syrdarya River flowing through the Akkurgan district, inspectors revealed the fact of illegal fishing by unknown citizens using fishing nets and a motor boat. In order to prevent this situation, the head of the Syrdarya water basin branch, D. Zokhidov, and the chief state inspector, T. Buriev, went by motorboat to the violators, who attacked the inspectors and pushed them into the water.

Poachers set fire to a rubber boat in order to drown the inspectors. However, the inspectors, who know how to behave in such a situation, swam to the riverbank. Upon seeing this, the offenders fled the scene.

In order to clarify the identity of the offenders and give a legal assessment of the situation, the relevant documents were sent to the prosecutor's office of the Tashkent region and the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
