The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, together with the Tashkent Zoo, organized an Eco-Quest competition dedicated to World Wildlife Day. 12 teams of Tashkent school students took part in it.

"Students of the school, of course, study zoology and other animal-related sciences. The Eco-Quest event serves to further strengthen children's knowledge in this regard. The questions at the competition were about nature and wild animals. Our goal is to increase the level of environmental knowledge among youth", said Zarrina Abdullayeva, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Ecology.

The game turned out to be very intense. The questions were distributed in different parts of the zoo in front of the animal enclosure. This allowed the children to get to know them directly.

"It is no coincidence that this event is taking place at the Tashkent Zoo. In the process of searching for answers to the questions, the children directly interacted with the animals. And this, of course, creates in them a feeling of love for animals and goodwill towards nature", said Hakim Sobirov, head of the scientific and educational department of the Tashkent Zoo.

According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the team of the Yashnabad district "Ayiq Bolalari", the second place was taken by the team of the Chilanzar district "Legend", the third place was taken by the team of the Sergeli district "Leaders". The winning teams were awarded with valuable prizes. Also, each participant in the competition was presented with a gift.

For information: The Ministry of Ecology pays great attention to the protection of wildlife. In particular, every year in all protected natural areas of our country, biotechnical measures are taken to protect wild animals and birds from the cold. In addition, on the occasion of International Bird Feeding Day, on February 3, the Tashkent Botanical Garden hosted the  charity action "Help birds in winter," and bird feed products were distributed throughout the territory.
