The First Ceremony of the "Little Eco-Hero" children's environmental award took place at the “Tomosha” Children's Music Theater-Studio in Tashkent. The event was organized by the children's eco-movement project "Vremya Geroyev" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the public fund "ONA," and the organizations "KORZINKA" and "Dafna."

For reference: "Little Eco-Hero" is an annual award of the children's eco-movement "Time of Heroes",aimed at fostering environmental awareness and promoting good habits among children and parents. Among the ongoing activities of the eco-movement are informative eco-lectures, engaging upcycling workshops, reading sessions, team-based "Clean Games" for waste collection and sorting, tree planting, and more.

As part of the event, children who actively participated in the activities of this eco-movement throughout the year and promoted eco-habits among their peers were awarded in 12 different categories with hero capes and passports, as well as commemorative prizes for the best eco-activists. Among the nominees were activists of the eco-movement and young nature defenders aged two to 16 from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city, Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Syrdarya, Andijan, Fergana, Jizzakh, and Surkhandarya regions.

"Raising the younger generation, shaping their good habits, views, and values   is one of the most important initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Ecology. For us, it is primarily important to participate in educating an aware generation," said Suna Park, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology. "The main changes start with children. If children know that they need to take care of the environment, then we can say that all our reforms and efforts are not in vain," added S. Park.

The event program included educational and entertaining show components with the participation of children's creative teams from the “Tomosha” Theater, as well as the presentation of the third book from the children's eco-series "Time of Heroes " by author Madina Muminova, titled "Anubis Maymunus and the Ghosts of Extinct Animals."

During the event, performances by Uzbek pop stars Sevara Nazarkhan and Sabina Mustaeva took place, followed by an award ceremony for eco-activists selected among school-age children, who were presented with hero capes, "Eco-Hero" passports, and commemorative gifts.
