Taking into account the interests and desires of the Uzbek people, amendments and additions have been made to the Constitution of Uzbekistan. In particular, special attention in the Fundamental Law is given to issues of environmental conservation and protection.

Article 49 of the Constitution states: «Everyone shall have the right to a favorable environment, reliable information about its condition». It serves to promote the ecological culture of the population, knowledge and skills, as well as the formation of a dedicated generation concerned about the environment.
