A delegation from the Samarkand region presented on the topic of "Sustainable and Green Cities" at the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which is taking place in Dubai.

As part of the event, a meeting was organized between the Deputy Governor of the Samarkand region, Khurshid Ochilov, and the Executive Director for Sustainable Development at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Ms. Nandita Parshad.

During the meeting, the "Green City Action Plan" project for Samarkand, which is planned to be implemented with the support of the EBRD, was discussed. Special attention was also given to the project for the procurement of public transport and electric buses.
