The closing ceremony was held in Samarkand of the Central Asian Youth Eco-Camp, which was dedicated to the UN Climate Change Conference - COP-28.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Zamin” International Public Fund Ziroat Mirziyoyeva,Executive Director of UNICEF, Ted Chaiban Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova, Deputy Director of Youth Affairs  Agency, Dilnozakhan Kattakhonova, representatives international, state and public organizations.

For information, from October 1 to 5, the Central Asian Youth Eco-Camp was organized in Samarkand, aimed at developing a Central Asian strategy for promoting sustainable development culture and involving children and youth in the climate agenda. The event was attended by 60 eco-activists, scientists, and representatives of foreign organizations from 5 countries, who discussed the strategy for the development of sustainable development culture in Central Asia. Also, an intellectual game "Eco-Zakovat" was held as part of the eco-camp.

It is worth noting that during the event, young eco-activists put forward a number of initiatives to achieve a common goal - to preserve the environment and make the world better. Among the proposals was the creation of a Youth Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, providing the opportunity to vote and comment on developed regulatory acts and eco-programs, taking into account volunteer activity finding a job and entering universities, compensation for lost vegetation, creation of artificial forests, raising the ecological culture of the population, especially among young people, reducing harmful emissions through the financing of eco-startups, increasing production of electric vehicles and improving catalysts for fuel-powered vehicles.



At the end of the event, tree seedlings were planted and a commemorative plaque was signed on the territory of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road".

The main goal of the CA Eco-Camp is to recognize the role of youth in actions to combat climate change, provide a platform for young environmental activists to put forward proposals and eco-initiatives, and integrate the youth environmental movement in Central Asia.
