Currently, the Central Asian Youth Eco-Camp is taking place in Samarkand. The organization of the eco-camp is aimed at developing a Central Asian strategy for promoting sustainable development culture and involving children and young people in the climate agenda.

During the event, 60 eco-activists from 5 Central Asian countries put forward a number of proposals.

In particular, the need to create artificial forests to compensate for lost vegetation and increase environmental awareness among the population, especially young people, was emphasized. At the same time, the need to reduce harmful emissions through financing eco-startups for the growth of electric cars and improving fuel-powered car catalysts was noted.

In addition, eco-activists suggested attracting public attention to environmental problems through influencers.

The eco-camp will last until October 5th.
