On September 22, "World Car-Free Day" was widely celebrated throughout the republic of Uzbekistan. Various events and activities were organized in each region of the country.

In particular, in the Khodjeyli District of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, activities were held to promote the benefits of the "5000 Steps for Health" program, as well as the use of bicycles and walking.



In the Jizzakh Region, under the slogan "A New Breath," a 3000-meter race took place. Over 300 participants took part in the marathon. In the Andijan Region, there were events such as the "5000 Steps for Health" campaign, a mass cycling event, and competitions in 3km and 100m running.

Furthermore, in the Samarkand Region, a marathon covering a distance of 5,000 steps was held, with the participation of over 950 employees from educational institutions and more than 5000 residents of the city. In Urgench, students and teachers actively participated in the "10,000 Steps" campaign.

It is worth noting that Car-Free Day was widely celebrated in other regions as well.

For your information, "Car-Free Day" has been held in our country since 2021. The aim of the event is to reduce air pollution caused by various toxic gases emitted by cars, as well as to promote pedestrian and bicycle movement. This, in turn, contributes to the popularization of a healthy lifestyle among the population.
