What are the requirements for environmental auditor certification?

By the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the Approval of Certain Regulatory Legal documents regulating the field of Environmental Audit," the Administrative Regulation for the provision of state services for issuing a qualification certificate of an environmental auditor was approved.

According to the Decree, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change is the authorized body for organizing the qualification examination for issuing a qualification certificate for an environmental auditor, issuing a certificate, maintaining registries of environmental auditors and environmental auditing organizations.

According to the administrative regulation, the services for issuing a qualification certificate are provided through the state service center or YaIDXP (my.gov.uz).


Requirements for candidates:

– higher education in the field of ecology and environmental protection (biologist, geologist, hydrological engineer, engineer of land geodesy and cartography, as well as specialities in the protection of water, atmospheric, land and underground resources);

- Continuous three-year experience in the field of environmental protection or a related field.

Within 10 working days from the date of receiving the application, the authorized body makes a decision on admitting the applicant to take the qualification exam or rejecting the application.

The qualification exam is conducted by forming a group of at least 3 candidates and is held at least once per quarter.


The exam is taken in the form of a test (a total of 50 theoretical questions).

An individual who successfully passes the exam will be issued a qualification certificate for an environmental auditor, which is valid for 5 years.


For the provision of public services for consideration of the applicant's appeal, a fee is charged in the amount of the 1st RFB (330 thousand soums).
