Currently, the "Month of Improvement" is being celebrated throughout Uzbekistan in honor of the 32nd anniversary of Independence Day.

Throughout the month, extensive work is being carried out in all regions. In particular, in the neighborhoods of the Bukhara region, work is being done on landscaping and greening, cleaning ditches, pruning trees, whitewashing walls, improving street lighting, and road repairs.

Specifically, from July 30 to today, 87 cemeteries, 544 mahallas, and 7 shrines have been improved in the Bukhara region. An area of 405 hectares has been cleared of 33 515 tons of household and construction waste. 

In addition, 70 tons of waste have been regulated and work has been carried out to rehabilitate the central landfill located in the city of Bukhara, as well as three central landfills located in the districts.


Also repaired, landscaped and improved the sanitary and hygienic condition of 26 markets and shopping complexes, cleaned 241 km of ditches and canals, 121.4 km of irrigation and reclamation networks.

The Month of Improvement will continue until August 30th.
