The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, together with the regional department, studied the activities of the "Dehkanabad Potash Plant" located in the Dehkanabad district.

During the study, it turned out that according to the mine project, a water treatment plant was not provided in the central pumping station for pumping out the filtration waters formed underground, as a result of which two-thirds of the wastewater was used to press ore dust and some was discharged directly into the "Tuyashsai" stream.

During sampling and analysis of wastewater samples, the suspended solids content was 31.0 mg/l, dry residue 6130 mg/l, chlorides 1582.1 mg/l, chemicals 16.3 mg/l, nitrites 24.5 mg/l, ammonium 0.02. m/l, nitrates 0.05 m/l, oils 0.001 m/l, and petroleum products 0.001 m/l.

It should be noted that even though the project document "Environmental Impact Statement" (2018), developed for mining activities, provides for the placement of mine waters in a special salt storage pond, in practice, underground filtration waters are discharged into a stream. The composition of these waters has been analyzed by the central laboratory of the enterprise since August 17, 2022, after which the results were recorded. Also, during the inspection conducted in 2020, the instructions on stopping the discharge of seeping water from this source into the stream were not followed.

According to the facts of the violation, the "Dehkanabad Potash Plant" was awarded a compensation payment in the amount of 363 million 57 thousand 900 sums. Mandatory instructions are also given, consisting of 18 points, to eliminate the shortcomings identified during the audit.
