The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change announced the Uzbekistan eco-publication and video clips award ("Best eco-articles and video clips").                              Anyone who cares about the ecological future of the country, including journalists, bloggers, students, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, may participate.           

The winners of the competition will be determined in the following nominations: 

— The best material in Uzbek, English and Russian on "Adaptation to Climate Change in Uzbekistan";
— Best submission in Uzbek, English and Russian on "Biodiversity Conservation in Uzbekistan";
— Best piece in Uzbek, English, and Russian on "Protection of atmospheric air in Uzbekistan";
— Best piece in Uzbek, English and Russian on "Waste Management in Uzbekistan";
— The best piece in Uzbek, English and Russian on "Protection of land resources in Uzbekistan";
— Best piece in Uzbek, English, and Russian on the theme "Water and problems of water use in Uzbekistan";
— The best social video clip on environmental protection;
— The most actively participating non-governmental non-profit organization (NGO).                
                                                                                       

Attention!

The competition accepts articles and videos on ecology in Uzbek, Russian, and English, published in the media and social networks in Uzbekistan and abroad from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.

Applications must be sent by e-mail to info@eco.gov.uz in the period from February 1 to May 1, 2024. The appendices must include links to the materials, and the video should be in 1920x1080 PAL format with a maximum duration of 5 minutes.

All materials submitted to the competition, as well as its results, will be published on the website www.eco.gov.uz. The winners will be awarded on the eve of June 5, World Environment Day.

The purpose of the competition is to encourage the population, especially young people, to actively participate in the search for effective solutions to environmental problems in Uzbekistan, to study and understand eco-concepts in Uzbek, English, and Russian, to stimulate contributions to environmental education, and to raise public awareness of the country's environmental problems. This will contribute to the formation of systemic environmental knowledge, the ecological culture of the population, an environmentally-oriented worldview, coverage of current environmental problems and new proposed solutions in social networks, an increase in the number of materials on environmental problems, and the environmental policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the media and the Internet.
