The park was recently created in the village of "Tangatopdi" located on the territory of the village “Tangatopdi”, Akhangaran district, Tashkent region. Representatives from the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, and the Forestry Agency under the Ministry participated in the event.

"As per the initiative of our president, more than 200 million decorative trees are planted annually as part of the nationwide project 'Yashil Makon' .In particular, a 15-hectare garden has been created in the village of 'Tangatopdi' in the Akhangaran District with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and the Senate," said Talibjon Madumarov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. "Today, long-lived and climate-resistant trees are being planted in this park. We are involving more youth in this process. Our goal is to foster an ecological culture in their consciousness," added the deputy chairman.

It should be noted that the "Ecological Park" covers an area of 15 hectares, and the plan is to plant 7,500 saplings of Crimean pines by the end of 2023.

"More than 5,000 tree saplings have already been planted in this area. Today, over 1,000 saplings are being planted," reported Nodir Yoldoshev, Deputy Head of the Ecology Department of the Tashkent Region. "The Ministry of Ecology's staff constantly monitor this process," he added.

In order to conserve water and efficiently utilize natural resources, drip irrigation will be implemented in the garden. Crimean pine was chosen because it is an evergreen, climate-resistant, and flexible tree.

For information, the nationwide project "Yashil Makon", initiated by the head of our state and becoming a tradition, has been an important step in greening our country, increasing the number of trees that absorb carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen, thereby providing us with clean air.
