Employees of the environmental department of the Surkhandarya region, the regional prosecutor's office of the region and the district department of internal affairs regularly conduct day and night raids in the areas where Tajik ferula grows.

During a control operation in the state forestry "Bobotog" in the Uzun district, it was discovered that a significant amount of damage had been inflicted on the naturally growing in the territory of the "Faizova" forestry, 6th district of the 7th block of the "Archabulak" massif.


Investigations revealed that due to the irresponsible behavior of foresters towards their duties to protect the forest, 611 Tajik Ferula plants listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan were illegally cut down. The damage caused to nature amounted to 302 million 445 thousand soums.

The collected documents related to the case have been sent to the district prosecutor's office for a legal assessment of the situation.
