The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change has handed over 100 copies of the Red Book to students at Secondary School No. 42 in the city of Angren, Tashkent region.

For information, on the initiative of the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, Aziz Abdukhakimov, Red Books have been published for schoolchildren.

The circulation of the Red Book for schoolchildren, which is distributed in secondary schools throughout the country, amounts to 40,000 copies. In particular, currently 2,000 books have been delivered to schoolchildren in the Khorezm region, 1,250 in the Syrdarya region, 205 in the Jizzakh region, 1,400 in the Navoi region, 4,000 in the Kashkadarya region, and 100 in the Tashkent region.

The presentation of the books to the school management took place with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Ecology, Jussipbek Kazbekov, as part of a visit by a delegation of EU countries' ambassadors, international organizations, representatives of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Angren to familiarize themselves with UNDP and OSCE projects and the progress of reclamation work at former uranium mining sites.

It was previously reported about the work on the reclamation of former uranium mining sites in the Tashkent region and the familiarization visit of EU diplomatic missions' heads.
