The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change organized a press tour to the textile enterprise Global Textile Infinity in the Kushtepa district of the Fergana region.

The press tour was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, employees of the territorial departments of the Ferghana, Andijan and Namangan regions, journalists and bloggers.

For reference: Global Textile Infinity is one of the leading textile enterprises in Uzbekistan. The enterprise has created 2,000 jobs and has established a complete process of cotton cultivation and processing, as well as the production of high-quality yarn and dyed knitwear. Swiss equipment from Rieter Machine Works has been installed here, and a quality laboratory is also operating.

Special attention is paid at the enterprise to the elimination and prevention of factors that can have a negative impact on the environment and ecology, implementation of promising projects in this direction is one of the important aspects. During the press tour, participants were provided with detailed information about these projects.

In particular, the company uses energy-saving technologies based on the "green economy" in its production. As a result of measures taken to install solar panels on the roof of the building, energy efficiency has reached 23%.

The briquettes made from the dust generated during the production process at the enterprise drew special interest from the participants of the press tour. It is noted that the latest technologies installed at the enterprise capture dust and gases in special devices without releasing them into the atmosphere. The collected dust is processed and briquetted, thereby reducing the negative impact of the enterprise's production process on the environment.

During the press tour, a project on the efficient use of rainwater and meltwater at the enterprise was also presented. It should be noted that the rain and snow water generated in the roof area of the enterprise is not simply drained but collected in special containers, filtered, and used for landscaping and watering trees on the premises.

During the event, participants inspected the trees planted in the green area of the enterprise. Information was provided that as part of the national project "Green Space," over 1,000 trees are planned to be planted on 1.8 hectares of the enterprise's land during the autumn-spring season.
