The National Guard and internal affairs bodies will take measures to combat violations in the field of ecology and environmental protection.

This is provided for by the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Improvement of Legislation in the Fields of Ecology and Public Order Protection".

This Law introduces amendments to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility, providing internal affairs bodies and the National Guard with the necessary powers to hold accountable those responsible for administrative offences in the field of ecology and environmental protection.

The law comes into force after three months from the date of its official publication.
